Priest Gaoled On Narcotic Charge
MONTREAL, Fri. (10 a.m.) The Rev. Joseph Taillfer, Roman Catholic priest, who pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to possess, distribute and sell narcotics, was sentenced today to two years’ imprisonment and fined S3OOO. Taillfer was vicar at St Madeleine d'Outremont Church, Montreal.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police arrested him after finding $90,000 worth of heroin in a public baggage locker at Central Station, Montreal.
