Branch Of CEMS Formed Here
A branch of the Church of England’s Men’s Society was established at wellattended meetings held in Whangarei this week. This society is becoming a strong movement among men of the Anglican faith, and has branches in many parishes throughout the Dominion. Archdeacon A. H. Johnston was appointed president of the branch, the lay-chairman is Dr F. W. W. Dawson, and the secretary Mr F. G. Ross. The official admission of members will take place in Christ Church, Whangarei, on Sunday, November 6, when the preacher will be the diocesan secretary of the CEMS and vicar of St Luke’s, Mt Albert (the Rev. Austin Charles).
