Veteran Schooner

AUCKLAND. Sat. (P.A.) An offer to buy the veteran trading schooner Huia, form a club and lake the ship on cruises up and down the coast from Auckland, has been made by Mr Lewis Postlewaight. of Auckland. He is anxious that the Huia, which is one of the last of the New Zealand-built deep-water traders, should not leave Auckland.

Although costly to maintain as a trading vessel, Mr Postlewaight considers that, as virtually a private yacht run on a cooperative basis, the cost of upkeep should not. be unreasonable, and would be a great asset for training young yachtsmen and providing recreation.
