LONDON, Fri. (10 a.m.) — Reuters Warsaw correspondent, confirming reports of the purge of Polish Government Ministers and officials, says the targets of this latest sweep of “untrustworthy” elements appear to be:
Men who have spent a long period abroad in Western countries. Those considered sympathetic towards the nationalistic stand of former Deputy Prime Minister Wladyslaw Goulka, who was dismissed for differing from the Cominform altitude on the Tito issue.
Strict security measures have been introduced in all state departments.
