Mr F. Wordsworth

DARGAVILLE, Thu. (Sp.) -- Mr Frank Wordsworth, a member of the Hobson County Council for 30 years, and chairman for eight, died suddenly at his • daughter’s residence at Toka Toka on Sunday. Representatives from many local bodies in Northern Wairoa attended the funeral, one of the. most widelyattended seen in the district for many years.

A long cortege of cars left the Dargaville Methodist Church for the Mt Wesley Cemetery., where the service was conducted by the Rev. P. Cooke.

Mr Wordsworth had’represented the Te Kopuru riding on the council. Mr Wordsworth, whose wife predeceased him several years ago, is survived by five children, Messrs L. Wordsworth (Cape Runaway) and E. Wordsworth (Auckland), and Mesdames N. Simpkin (Rehia), W. Gribble (Rehia), and Gisbson (Tauranga). Another son, Noel, was killed during the last war. Messrs J. and G. H. Wordsworth, Whangarei, are brothers of the late Mr Wordsworth. There are eight grandchildren.
