P.M.'s Right Hand Severely Scalded

AUCKLAND, Thu. (Sp.). The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) severely scalded his right hand under a hot tap last evening. He was preparing to leave his hotel to speak at Devonport when the accident occurred.

Mr Fraser told the meeting that he had tinned on the wrong tap while looking at something else and before he could withdraw bis hand it was burned rather severely.

"I hope I will not turn on the wrong tap politically,” be said. Mr Fraser arrived at tbe meeting 20 minutes late with his hand heavily bandaged. He was obviously in some pain as he sat listening to the preliminary address by Dr A. M. Finlay, M.P. for North Shore.
