Frigates To Visit Bay In February

WELLINGTON, Fri. (Sp.).— I Though Christmas leave and operational requirements make It impossible for any ship of the New Zealand Squadron to visit Bussell for the Bay of Islands Regatta on December 28, Mr A. J. Murdoch (0.-Marsden) who made representations to the Minister of Defence. has been officially informed that it is hoped that two frigates will visit Russell early next February for vthc- Waitnngi celebrations. Mr Murdoch also made inquiries regarding the possibility of the Gov-ernor-General and Lady Freyberg visiting the Bay of Islands and has found that Their Excellencies are engaged until about the middle of February.

It is anticipated that the warships will visit the Bay of Islands between February 4 and 7.
