Europe Overcomes Threat Of Famine
ROME, Wed. (2 p.m.)— Delegates to the 11-nation meeting of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation agreed today that Europe has overcome the threat of famine, but faces new dangers of trade bottlenecks and food surpluses.
The meeting is drafting a regional report for the organisation’s world conference in Washington next month.
