Labour Candidates
WELLINGTON. Wed. (P.A.)—Three new Labour candidates for the general election were announced yesterday, bringing the total selected to date to 78. The outstanding seats are Wallace and Western Maori. The new candidates are:—
Waikato. —Mr J. R. Burfoot, aged 35, of Auckland, builder, who contested the Mt Albert mayoralty at the last municipal elections. Franklin. Mr John Parsons, who resides in Onehunga and is 41 years of age. Hauraki. —Mr Percival Peacock, aged 47, of Pokeno, farmer, formerly in business at Mangatawhiri. He is also a partner in a bookselling firm in Tauranga.
