Three Scots Guards Killed By Bandit
SINGAPORE, Tue. (11 a.m.)—After they had successfully ambushed a bandit group at Kuala Kubu, 20 miles north of Kuala Lumpur, an officer, sergeant and private of the Scots Guards were killed by a grenade thrown by the surviving member of the gang. The Scots Guards had laid an ambush by an old bandit camp. When the bandit party approached the Guards opened fire, killing three of the gang. While the bodies were being collected, one of the bandits threw a hand grenade, killing three of the Scots Guards.
