Two New Planes For Topdressing

i WELLINGTON. Tue., (Sp.).— Experimental aerial top-dressing will be carried out by two Miles Aerovan aircraft which have been purchased by the' RNZAF. One of the machines is now being assembled at Rangitoto while the other is due to leave England shortly. The Miles Aerovan is a high-wing monoplane designed as a light freighter. Powered with two engines of 155 horse-power each, the Aerovan is built of composite wood and metal structure. It has a fixed undercarriage with a steerable nose wheel. The entire after portion of the fuselage is hinged and opens outward to provide unobstructed loading space. The cruising speed is 112 miles an hour.
