North Broken Hill Profit Up 75 P.C.
SYDNEY, Tue., (1.30 p.m.).— Net profit of North Broken Hill Ltd., at £1.712,451 for the year ended June 30, is almost 75 per cent higher that the previous year’s earnings of £979.822. Dividends of 6/- a share (120 per cent) total £840,000 against 7/6 a share (150 per cent) for 1947-48. The net amount for appropriations for new plant and mine equipment is £602,684 (up £293,097).
