KAITAIA, Tue„ (Sp.).— High scoring was seen in the Kaitaia Golf Club’s combined four-ball, best ball match for the Thompson trophy on Saturday. F. Myers and Mrs R. Watts returned the phenomenal card of 7 up on bogey for a convincing win. Almost equally devastating was the 6 up returned by G. A. Nichols and Mrs Nicholls, who were runners-up. Other leading scores were W. Sutherland and Mrs Sutherland 3 up, L. Pointon and Mrs G. Brljevich 3 up, J. Reynolds and Miss Peters 2 up.
