Fatal Crash Into Pole

WAIHI, Mon. (Sp.).—Two youths were killed when their motor cycle collided with a telegraph pole on the Paoroa-Waihi main highway about two miles from Waikino on Saturday afternoon. They were: James Arnold Hofmann, aged 19. railway employee, of Frankton Junction. Brian William Howes, aged 19, railway employee, of Frankton Junction.

Man Killed When Truck Overt-urns

CHRISTCHURCH. Mon. (P.A.l.—One man was killed and another suffered head injuries when a light truck left the road and overturned about 100 yards below the main gates to Victoria Park on the Cashmere Hills last evening. The dead man was: Mr George Frederick Ilalliday, aged about 40. a painter, of Christchurch.
