CYCLE RACE
KAIKOHE, Sat. (Sp.).—Twenty-four riders from the Pukekohe, Waitemata and Bay of Islands Cycling Clubs, started in the 80 miles race staged by the Kaikohe Athletic, Cycling and Axemen's Club over five laps of a course from Kaikohe through Te Iringa to Tautoro and back to Kaikohe. The riders went off over 42 minutes from 11.20 a.m. At 1 p.m. five cyclists had completed the first lap for which the fastest time was 53min. ssec.
