Eden Protest To Football Assn

AUCKLAND. Tue. (P.A.). The Eden Soccer Club has formally protested to the Now Zealand* Football Association against the change oi venue for the North Island Chatham Cup final replay next Saturday from Auckland to Wellington. The club points out that the New Zealand Council’s decision was that the North Island final should be played in Auckland and as the replay is a continuation of the original game, it should be played here. Two official announcements that the replay would be held in Auckland had been made, and although a further announcement changed the venue to Wellington, the club had received no official advice.

The club claims that it is impossible for players to make such short notice arrangements to travel to Wellington
