£4 Million From Wool

AUCKLAND, Wed. (Sp.)— Nearly £4,000.000 was realised from greasy wool sold at auction in Auckland during the past season. The approximate proceeds of £3,998,400 represent an increase of nearly £127,400 over the previous season. Although the lowest but one in New Zealand, the average price per lb of 22.65 d shows an increase of 0.84 d over that received in the previous season. A total of 125,178 bales was sold, against 124.47(1 bales.
