Police Will Take No Action

ROTORUA, Tue. (P.A.)—The Commissioner of Police has advised that no action will be taken against the proprietors of certain Rotorua tourist attractions which remain open on Sunday and which- at a recent prosecution were said by a police witness to be "under inquiry.” This was stated by the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) to the Mayor of Rotorua (Mr A. F. Moncur) at the weekend. The Prime Minister said that he had received complaints from the Rotorua Chamber of Commerce and' from the proprietors of two places near Rotorua. 1

He had referred them to the Commissioner of Police (Mr Cummings), who advised him that if the business concerned carried on as usual, no action would be taken.
