Murray Wakelin Comes Of Age
The coming of age of Mr Murray Wakelin was celebrated at a party in the Puketona Hall, at winch a large number of friends from Puketona, Paihia, Kawakawa, Waimate North and Palmerston North were present. Mr Wakelin’s father, Mr W. H. Wakelin, presented him with a key which had been autographed by the guests. Mr Cowie, of Waitangi, spoke highly of his association with Mr Wakelin. The evening was spent in dancing, competitions and games. The birthday cake was given by Mrs M. Jensen, of Palmerston North, and iced by Mrs B. Annabell, of Palmerston North.
