Man Collapses Dies At Work

While ai work in Whangarei yesterday afternoon a man coliapsed and died. He was: Mr Francis Robert Smith, 48, bodybuilder, married, with two children, of Porowini Avenue, Whangarei. Mr Smith, who war employed by Messrs M. D. Wilkens and Son, Ltd., Alexander Street, was talking to another employee when he laughed and then collapsed. He was taken to a doctor and on arrival was found to be dead. He had been in ill-health and it is not likely that an inquest will be necessary. Deceased was a member of the Homeservicemen’s Association and of the Masonic fraternity.
