Nepia Admires Phil Cherrington
“Where did you dig this one up?” asked faimus All Black fullback, George Nepia of a friend sitting with him at the Prince of Wales Cup match on Saturday. He was referring to halfback Phil Cherrington, whose dazzling display frequently brought expressions of admiration from the great fullback of yesteryear. "Cherrington is one of the most promising boys ( have seen for many years," Nepia added. “Any backs could not help but play with him. I-Ic is outplaying Raureti, who werP to Australia, in every department of the game.”
