N.Z. Yugoslav Is Glad To Be Back
AUCKLAND, Sat. (P.A.). Two years ago, Mr Stipe Vitasovich, a naturalised New Zealander, of Henderson, returned to Yugosalvia to marry. He intended to remain a few months but had to wait a long time for a visa. He returned on the Tamaroa yesterday with Iris wife and daughter. Friendship for Britain had increased considerably in the past six months, he said. That might be because of the recent estrangement between Russia and her satelites and Tito. While in Yugoslavia he saw many New Zealand Yugoslavs who returned home in the Partizanka. Some would like to return to New Zealand but could not admit that openly. Asked if he was glad to be back Mr Vitasovich grinned from ear-to-ear. “New Zealand is the best place in the world,” he declared.
