When the new president of the Northland Bowling Centre thanked Mr J. H. Marwick for his support on the NZBC annual meeting, he jokingly rem.'u ked that the centre’s representative appea.ed to he opposed to sawdust bowling greens. Mr Marwick explained that a Christchurch evening newspaper had reported him as being one of the c-nenties of sawdust but a morning paper bad devoted considerable space to an account of his championship ol the sawdust cause. According to this paper he had practically gained affiliation for two southern clubs. "Now you can take your pick." smiled Mr Marwick as he resumed his seat.
