Pamphlet By Party Member

WELLINGTON, Wed. (P.A.).— Referring to a pamphlet which lay on his desk, the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) said in the House of Representatives yesterday that a man named Keesing had made some piost misleading statements on the objectives of compulsory military training. The Minister said Mr Keesing was a member of the Communist Party. Mr F. Langstone (G—Roskill): Oh no. He is chairman of the Mt Roskill Labour Party.

Opposition Voices: That is the same thing. Mr Jones said there was no intention of conscripting women as far as New Zealand was concerned. He also denied statements to the effect that the 40-hour week would be abolished, and that industry would bo disrupted and collapse.
