A vote of sympathy with Mr Selwyn Downs in the death of his mother was passed by delegates to the NARU management committee last night. Mr Downs is the union’s gear custodian and his efficiency is keenly appreciated by the administrators.
The appointment of Mr K. J. Maidment as principal of Auckland University College had been approved by the executive committee of the Senate, stated the acting-registrar of the New Zealand University in a letter received by the Auckland college council yesterday.
The following have been granted transfers of status to Associated Public Accountant- (A.P.A.N.Z.) in the New Zealand Society of Accountants: Messrs W. H. Atkins (Kaitaia), P. D. Corsbie (Whangarei). The following member has been granted transfer of status to Fellow Public Accountant (F.P.A.N.Z.) in the society: Mr L. G. Thompson (Kaitaia).
