23 Relatives Of One Family Here
AUCKLAND. Thu. (Sp.i—ln the last nine months, 23 members of a family group have arrived in- New Zealand from England. The last two—Mr and Mrs H. W. G. Riches arrived yesterday on the Swedish motor-ship Nimbus. Together with his family, Mr Riches, travelled from England to Oslo to join the ship.
Last year Mr Riches' sister and bro-ther-in-law and their baby, together with another family related to them, consisting of two adults and three children, flew from England to New Zealand to settle in Feilding. After travelling to America by ship and completing the journey by air a further 13 members of the group arrived here in January of ihis year. In this arrival w. re Mi and Mrs W. Braine. Mrs Riches’ mother and father. Both were aged about 73. Several members of the parties had been engaged in the building trade and have already built three houses which ♦ hey occupy. Mr Riches is an electrician by trade.
Another daughter of Mr and Mrs Braine, together with her husband and daughter intend leaving England for New Zealand this month. Their arrival will bring the family group total to 25.
