Finality Reached In Russell Project
RUSSELL, Thu. (Six).-- After several years of agitation and negotiation, agreement has now been reached on the provision of public conveniences near the Russell waterfront.
At a meeting of the Russell Hall Committee and Town Board last night, the committee agreed to find £IOO of the total of £7OO needed to provide these amenities, which will be built on the hall property. Mr F. Lovell, the hall committee’s tenant who uses the hall as a picture theatre, offered to pay £IOO rent in advance in order to provide the committee with its share of the cost. The Town Board is to find the balance of the sum involved.
