British Team's Tour Of N.Z.

WELLINGTON, Tue. (P.A.) The British Rugby team to tour New Zealand next year will have approximately a fortnight in New Zealand before the first game. It will leave London by ship on April 7. The team may open its tour at Nelson, visit the West Coast and travel the South Island before coming north, said the chairman (Mr A St. C. Belcher) at an executive meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union yesterday. The tourists would probably have to return to the South Island for a test match. The itinerary, however, would be prepared by the tours committee. The Australian Rugby team to tour New Zealand this year will travel by air on August 13 and 14 and return by air on September 26 and 27. The New South Wales Rugby Union has confirmed July 28 and 29 as dates for the conference between Australia and New Zealand which will be held at Sydney. New Zealand will be represented by Mr Belcher and Mr F. E. Sutherland (Auckland).
