CASE FOR SHIPPING DECENTRALISATION

THE problem of ensuring adequate representation for small ports when the question of decentralisation of shipping is considered at the forthcoming Harbour Boards’ Association conference in New Plymouth was discussed at the monthly meeting oi the Whangarei Harbour Board today. “I think that this will be one of the most important eonierences Whangarei delegates will ever attend,” said the Goveihment representative on the board (Mr R. H. Allan).
