Registration Of Union

WET LINGTON, Wed. (P.A.)—The breakaway Auckland Carpenters’ Union will be registered according to an announcement by the Minister of Labour (Mr McLagan) to the Labour Party conference today. The Minister addressed the conference fc .■ more than an hour, in the course of which he announced his intention of registering the new union. At the conclusion of his address the conference passed a resolution expressing complete confidence in Mr McLagan as Minister of Labour. Of more than 600 delegates, there were only 20 dissentients, states a supplied official report of the conference.
