AUCKLAND, Tue., (P.A.).— Citizens of Cambridge are being asked to “adopt” the British Empire Games rowing crews during the preparation and competition on Lake Karapiro early next year. Most of the rowers well be encamped near the lake for about three weeks.

Mr C. Rex Moore, chairman of the Games Organising Committee, said yesterday, that during a visit to the lake the sub-committee was assured by the Mayor of Cambridge (Mr K. Wilkinson) of the citizens’ and council’s support. The organising secretary Mr C. u. Cleal, will visit Cambridge to outline a scheme to the citizens and local bodies.

Mr Moore said the sub-committee was impressed with the suitability of the lake for contests also for the erection of a model camp at relatively light expense.
