H.M.N.Z. Ship 'Pain In The Neck'

WELLINGTON, Tue. (P.A.)—No representations have been made to the Minister of Defence for the re-naming, of the frigate Pukaki, whose name allegedly means “Pain in the Neck.” Consequently, said Mr Jones today, no consideration had been given to an alternative name.

“If the occasion ever arises when she is called upon to go into action, I feel sure she would be a pain in.the neck to the enemy,” added the Minister.
