DiogmosHc Clinics; Nurses' Uniforms
WELLINGTON, Fri. (P.A.).—Estar 'shment of diagnostic clinics to er. ■ble the public to have examination it least every two years for control oi serious diseases, such as cancer and tuberculosis, was proposed by the Thames Hospital Board to the annual conference of hospital boards.
The remit was lost after Dr P Stan ley Foster (Christchurch) and Dr J. Caimey (Wellington) told the conference they considered the value of such examinations questionable and the cost in time and money would be enormous. 1
Standardisation of nurses’ uniforms was not favoured by the conference which rejected a Christchurch proposal that standardisation for various grades of nurses should be introduced.
