More Marriages, Births Lost Month
Births and marriages in Whang'arei during February this year showed an increase over the numbers recorded for February, 1948.
Deaths last month were fewer than in the same month last year. Eighteen deaths occurred in February. 1948, compared with 10 last month, 43 births were recorded in February last year, as against 46 in 1949, while marriages increased from 18 in February, 1948, to 28 last month. Maori births numbered 10 last month, compared with 7 during the corresponding month last year.
