Nash Not Telling

WELLINGTON, Wed. (Sp.).— The acting Prime Minister (Mr Nash) declined to state the source of the information which prompted his statement concerning the letter written by Mr Cecil Holmes.

Mr Nash denied that the letter had been pilfered from Mr Holmes’ car.

No statement was forthcoming from the Public Service Commission yesterday. The chairman (Dr R. M. Campbell) is on leave and a member of the commission (Mr G. Bolt) said that no statement would be made at the moment.

It was learned yesterday that the lunch-time meeting at the studios of the National Film Unit at Miramar was held on November 26, when about 80 members were present.

The letter by Mr Holmes was written on the previous day.
