Criticism Widespread

In Cairo, the \rab League has asked the Security Council to order the Netherlands Government to stop their police ('action in Indonesia, which the league

termed an “attempt to impose rule ..contrary to the people’s will and treaties between the two countries.” In Bagdad, the Irak Parliament passed a resolution protesting against the Dutch action.

In Rangoon, the Prime Minister (Thakin Nu) urged an immediate conference of all Asian countries for considering an all-out aid to the Indonesians.
