Egyptians Bar Bethlehem Road ?

JERUSALEM, Tue. (2 p.m.).—An Israeli communique claims that Egyptian troops refused to allow Christmas pilgrims to ' use the traditional road from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, says the British United Press correspondent. Agreement had been reached between the Arab Legion and Jewish commanders which permitted pilgrims to use the road from the old city of Jerusalem to Jericho.

From there they must use a mud track to Bethlehem.

The Jewish authorities say this route is twice as long as the usual one, and it will be inpassable if there is any rain.
