MELBOURNE. New Australian wool records were made and broken with remarkable sequence in an extraordinary market in Geelong yesterday, when buyers ran riot ( for superfine wools. Within three minutes of the opening, a new Australian record of 134|d a pound was set. Then thrse super Merino lots brought 1393 d. This record was broken with 140 d a pound, and later 146jd was obtained. All countries appeared to be in the market, with America and Britain buying strongly.

A state record was established at the Newcastle wool sales today, when 135 d was paid for eight bales of greasy Merino wool. Four other lots , topped 125 d.
