42 ft Launch Added To Whangarei Fleet

Mr A. Walker’s 42ft launch Raumati II took the water last week-end to make another addition to the growing fleet of pleasure launches in Whangarei.

She'is an expansion of the lines of the original Raumati. and is a fine example of the type of naval architecture in use when the Raumati was built. Powered with two G.M. matched Diesels of 55 h.p. each, the Raumati should have a fair turn of speed. No effort has been spared to make the interior appointments the best that can be built into a launch.

They include a spacious galley, equipped with a gas stove, and a refrigerator.

Timber reclaimed from a bridge was used in some of the heavier members.
