Witness Apologises

After spending about an hour in the police station because he would not answer Mr J. D. Gerard’s question in the Whangarei Court yesterday L. J. Bradley,-of Mangonui, and formerly of Palmerston North, re-entered the box.

He had been taken to the police station by order of the magistrate (Mr W. C. Harley). Mr Gerard had asked Bradley how much money he had in 1945. Bradley had declined to answer, even when warned to do so by the magistrate.

When he came back after his sojourn in the station, he said he was very sorry for his behaviour.
