GAMBLING
LONDON.—The Government; will set up a commission after Christmas to inquire into the law on gambling, says thejDaily Express. It wilt probably be asked t<j snake recommendations on the extent to f/hich gambling is regarded as a social evil, the possibility of strengthening or modifying the gambling laws, and the extension of taxation, and therefore Government recognition, to all forms of gambling.
