December 10, free for the presentation of the Popular Girls and for the visit of the Popular Girls from Kaitaia. 661 NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Whangarei Borough Council held for that purpose on the 24th day of November, 1948. the following resolution was passed and it will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on the 22nd day of December, 1943, at the Council Chambers, Bank Street, at 7.25 p.m. RESOLUTION: “In exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and ail other powers and authorities in any way enabling it the Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes, by way of Special Order a By-Jaw, under the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and its amendments and entitled “The 'Whangarei Borough By-Law No. 28, 1948." The object and purport of the proposed By-law is:—G) To increase the floor area of framed outbuildings if constructed of heart pinus insignis timber effectively treated with an approved wood preservative by an approved process, from 120 sq. feel { to 300 sq. feet. 1 (2) To control bicycles left unattended)' in Bank or Cameron Streets in} . such a circumstance as to cause a nuisance or obstruction to wheel, pedestrian or animal traffic. (3) To prescribe that persons having control of Licensed Taxi Cabs operating from Licensed Taxi Stands must pay an annual fee - fixed from time to time by the Council. A full copy of this By-law is deposited at the Office of the Whangarei Borough Council.
