STERN GANG ULTIMATUM
‘ LONDON, Mon. (2 p.m.)—The outlawed Stern Gang has presented Isi'aeli authorities with an ultimatum regarding the arrested Stern Gang members, says the Tel Aviv correspondent of the Associated Press. The ultimatum said that, if the arrested members were not released or brought to trial within five days, the Stern Gang prisoners will start a hunger-strike and civil disobedience in all detention camps.
Stern Gang prisoners today set fire to a military detention camp near Tel Aviv in an attempt to oppose their transfer to Acre Prison.
They surrendered only after the building in which they were detained was burning furiously.
