AUSTRALIAN TOURNAMENT H. Pickworth (Australian open and professional champ.) played two brilliant fighting rounds to win his third successive Ampol £IOOO tournament by five strokes. Best total for the 72 holes were: Pickworth 293, K. Nagle 298, R. Want 300, N. von Nida. W. McWilliam 301. Von Nida. joint leader with Nagle at the beginning of the final day crashed badly with rounds of 70 and 79. Pickworth had a two under par 70 to be one stroke behind Nagje starting the last round.
