INTO SEA
WAIHI.—The- two occupants of a De HavilJand Moth aircraft escaped with a good soaking when their machine overturned into the sea when landing on Waihi Beach about 1 o’clock on Saturday afternoon.
In touching down the plane struck a soft patch of sand and was badly damaged in overturning.
The aeroplane, owned by Messrs R. G Colbf-rt and C. .< S. Thompson, of Hamilton, had been flown to Waihi from 'the Rukuhia aerodrome by Mr C. Crowe. His passenger was Mr D. Hansby. —CSd.)
