Sheffield Shield

BRISBANE, Sat.—The first Sheffield Shield cricket match of the season began in Brisbane yesterday, when New South Wales met Queensland. A delightfully correct century by A. R. Morris and a spectacular one by K. R. Miller aided New South Wales to run up a big score. At stumps, the scores were; New South Wales, first innings, four wicwets for 329 (Moss 52, Morris 120. Miller 109, Moroney 32 not out).
