No Contributions To Cancer Fund
Not one penny has been paid in at the Whangarei Borough Council’s office towards the British Cancer Campaign, appeal. On October 16 'the public was notified by advertisement that a fund had been opened at the municipal buildings, and that contributions would be received during office hours. This morning it was learned that, although the opportunity had existed for nine days for donations to be made to the fund, none of the citizens had deemed the cause sufficiently worthy to make a donation.
