AUCKLAND, Sat. (Sp.)— A five-year-old boy from Papatoetoe was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday as a suspected case of infantile paralysis, making 44 positive cases and four suspects in the hospital last night. Two new cases were reported in Wellington yesterday, a four-month-old boy and a girl aged 19. From Aratika, south-east of Greymouth, an eight-year-old girl was admitted to the Grey Hospital with poliomyelitis. One new case has been reported in the South Auckland health district so far this month. There have been 12 deaths in the Central Auckland health district, 11 in South Auckland, four in Northland and eight in Wellington. Four of the Wellington deaths have occurred this month.
