Council To Confer On Onerahi Nuisance
Property owners at Onerahi who ciaimed that their property was adversly affected by drainage from the aerodrome, have petitioned the Onerahi Town Board for relief. The board forwarded the letter to the Whangarei County Council, which met today.
The five owners concerned stated that in time of heavy rain the water drained from the aerodrome concentrated at a number of culvert points and poured through on to private property.
During the heavy" rains of July 19 and 20 considerable damage and inconvenience was caused.
At the suggestion of the board the council agreed to a conference with it regarding the question.
