Mild Polio Case From Titoki Are a

A very mild case of infantile paralysis was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital yesterday. The patient is a girl, aged seven, from Titoki.

The child became ill about a fortnight ago, but her symptoms were so slight that the parents at first thought she was suffering from influenza, which was prevalent in the household. Medical attention was called yesterday and the case identified on admission to hospital, as a positive one of poliomyelitis. ' Three suspected cases of noliomyelitis have been admitted to the Auckland Hospital—a boy aged 13 from Papakura, a girl aged six from Otahuhu, dnd a boy aged three from Orakei. No positive cases have been reported since Thursday. Another case, that of a four-year-old boy, was reported from Wainaiomata, Wellington, today.
